Matched mortar on old Kansas City brick

You can spot a bad repair from the street: gray Portland in a lime wall, joints that shine, brick that does not belong. DeepFix matches the original fabric so the repair disappears — then we weather it in so it holds.

What we sample

• Sand color and grain — the thing you actually see in the joint
• Binder: lime, Portland, or a blend, based on what the wall was built with
• Joint profile so the new work reads with the old, not on top of it

Hard modern mortar in a soft old wall is a common failure in KC. The joint does not flex. The brick takes the stress and spalls. Matching is not a cosmetic extra. It is how the repair lasts past the first winter.

Small repair, same standard

A few failed units on a porch and a whole elevation get the same process. Walk the job, take out the failure, rebuild it once, weather it in. If you have a wall that already had a mismatch repair, we can usually still make the next one disappear.
